Building Is Fun Again

I've actually been enjoying work a lot lately.

Living somewhere where most things just work has probably helped more than I realised. Reliable power, internet, transport, services, all the boring stuff you stop thinking about when it's consistently there. It leaves a lot more mental space for actual work.

Work itself has been good too. I've been lucky with the company I'm at and the people I work with. Shoutout to H, A & B. Good people, interesting problems, very little unnecessary nonsense.

And then there are coding models. The difference they've made to my productivity is kind of ridiculous. I can get through things that would have taken me hours before, and spend more time thinking about the actual problem instead of getting stuck in implementation details.

I think it's the combination of all three. Better environment, good people, better tools.

I'm just enjoying building things again.
